During the 33rd French Aerosol Congress (January 28-29, 2020, Paris), Dumitru Duca, 3rd year PhD student at PhLAM Laboratory under the supervision of Claire Pirim and Cristian Focsa, was awarded the Jean Bricard Prize, granted by the French Association for Aerosol Studies and Research, for his thesis work “Physico-chemical characterization of combustion-generated aerosols”, considered as “an important and original contribution in the field of Aerosol Science”.
Dumitru Duca had already received the award for the best oral communication at the Annual Meeting of the Soot GoR in December 2018.
